Chapter 11 response

One visual technology is Display Individual Static Images or Photos. A traditional technology of this category is an Overhead Projector, and can be used in the classroom to project what the teacher sees in a smaller print, to show the students in a much larger font. An emerging technology of this category is clip art, and this can be used in the classroom to just find small pictures to go along with a teachers lesson plan. Another visual technology is Display Moving Images. A traditional technology from this category is a VCR, and can be used in the classroom to watch older short videos or movies. An emerging technology in this category is a DVD player; this type of technology can be used in the classroom to play more recent movies and videos.

An audio technology is Play Back Music or Speech. One traditional technology is a tape recorder and can be used in a classroom for speaking assessments. All of the students can speak into a recorder and then turn in the recorder to be graded. An emerging technology is an ipod. This can be used for individual learning, and students can use math, science, social studies,  and/or english applications.
A second audio technology is Play TV Programs. A traditional technology is a CRT TV monitor, and can be used in the classroom to watch t.v shows, videos, or movies. An emerging audio technology in this category is an internet webcast. This can be used to play informative videos that the teacher may find from  the internet.
